A matched pair of Chinese famille rose lidded tea mugs in a classic bird-and-flower design — on each, a songbird perched among flowering branches, peonies, and chrysanthemums in soft enamel colors, framed by gilt panels and finished with a gold finial, gold handle, and gold rim. Each comes with its own matching domed lid. A charming, collectible chinoiserie pair — lovely as a tea-for-two set, for display, or for gifting.
The two are a true matched pair in the same pattern. Each measures approximately 5" tall (with lid) × 3" in diameter and includes its lid. Vintage, later 20th century. Porcelain, marked Made in China on the base.
Good to Very Good vintage condition. Each mug shows minimal to no color loss, with a few small flea bites (tiny shallow nibbles) around the base edge and light soiling on the unglazed footring; there are no cracks, hairlines, or significant chips, and both lids are present and intact. The gilt remains bright. Honestly described for the collector who loves a hand-decorated piece.
