A striking Chinese famille rose lidded tea mug on a glossy black ground, hand-painted with vivid roses, peonies, and chrysanthemums in pink, blue, orange, and yellow, all outlined in gold. A colorful Greek-key border circles the rim, and the piece includes its matching domed lid with a black finial. A bold, decorative chinoiserie accent — lovely for display, tea, or as a gift.
Vintage, later 20th century. Approximately 5" tall (with lid) × 3" in diameter. Good vintage condition, honestly described: the most noticeable flaw is a small chip to the paint on the black finial (the lid's knob) — minor, but visible up close. There are also a few small flea bites (tiny shallow nibbles) around the base edge and light soiling on the unglazed footring. Otherwise sound and display-ready, with its matching lid. Porcelain, marked Made in China on the base.
