A matched pair of Chinese famille rose lidded tea mugs in the classic "Longevity" pattern (Wan Shou Wu Jiang, 萬壽無疆 — "boundless long life"), made in Jingdezhen, China. Each rose-pink mug is hand-decorated with scrolling lotus and foliage, Greek-key and lappet borders in turquoise, yellow, and blue, and four character medallions spelling the auspicious longevity blessing — and each comes with its own matching domed lid. A cheerful, collectible pair rooted in a pattern once reserved for the imperial court — lovely as a tea-for-two set, for display, or as a thoughtful gift.
The two are a true matched pair from the same pattern line, differing only by a small painter's batch number on the base (one marked 17, one marked 21) — no visible difference in the design. Each measures approximately 5" tall × 3" in diameter and includes its lid. Vintage, later 20th century. Porcelain, marked 中国景德镇 (Jingdezhen) / Made in China on the base.
Good to Very Good vintage condition. Each mug shows minor enamel/color loss from age and a few small flea bites (tiny shallow nibbles) around the base edge, with light soiling on the unglazed footring; there are no cracks, hairlines, or significant chips, and both lids are present and intact. Honestly described for the collector who appreciates a piece with a little well-earned history.
