Cut from rich yellow, black, and red tartan wool with a pleated back and raw, fringed kilt edges, it fastens at the hip with black kangaroo leather belt-buckle straps. The showstopper is the front: a hand-needlepoint-embroidered Cavalier King Charles Spaniel — the famously regal breed — wreathed in flickering flame embroidery, pure Michele-era maximalism at its most joyful and iconic.
