We removed the original collar and replaced it with a dramatic hand-gathered ruffle, cut from the bottom of the shirt's own fabric — so the new collar is a flawless tonal match to the body, and not a scrap was wasted. The neckline opens softly at the front, turning a classic men's button-down into a soft, billowy top with a cottagecore-meets-coquette spirit. The breezy blue chambray, signature embroidered pony, and pearlized buttons all remain — the bones of a Ralph Lauren classic, reborn with new romance.

Cut to a relaxed, drapey cropped silhouette (it began life as a roomy men's size) with a cleanly refinished hem, it layers beautifully over slim denim or sits easy on a high waist. Every ruffle is gathered and sewn by hand, so this piece is truly the only one of its kind.
