A charming small Japanese Imari-style dish by Saji, in the classic Imari palette of cobalt blue, iron-red, green, and gold. The richly patterned design features dragons, phoenixes, and peony florals around a central cobalt-and-red medallion, finished with a gold rim. A lovely little decorative dish — perfect as a butter pat, trinket or ring dish, tea-bag rest, or styled accent. Marked Saji Fine China Japan on the reverse.
Vintage, mid-to-late 20th century. Approximate diameter: 4". Very Good vintage condition — no chips, hairlines, or crazing, no surface marks or staining, and no loss of color; the gold rim and enamel colors remain bright. Porcelain.
