An authentic vintage Zhostovo tray, the celebrated Russian folk art of hand painted floral bouquets on black lacquered metal, originating in the village of Zhostovo near Moscow. This round tray features a vivid hand painted bouquet — daisies, a golden bloom, and orange poppies among lush greenery — finished with the traditional gold "uborka" border ornament. Marked on the reverse with Soviet-era factory stamps (Made in USSR).
Each Zhostovo tray is painted by hand in oils, making every piece unique. Beautiful displayed on a wall or stand, styled on a bar cart or vanity, or used as a decorative catch-all. A wonderful piece for collectors of Russian folk art, toleware, and Soviet-era decorative arts — hand-painted decades ago and kept in loving circulation, a true one-of-a-kind find.
